![]() ![]() It took several reboots of virtual machine and Host (with usb headset unplugged) to get rid of that. This was probably a bad idea, because then the virtual machine still had the headset under devices > USB devices. (Note: I did this while the USB headset was still plugged in. Right click My Computer > Select Properties > Select Hardware tab > Push Device Manager > Select Sound, Video, Game Controllers > Select USB audio device > Select Driver tab > Push Uninstall button. Finally I decided to try to uninstall the driver on the guest Win XP: Tried a bunch of things that I won't bother to list - took hours, can't and don't want to remember anymore. However once I rebooted the virtual machine I got the ominous choppy audio. I found that my logitech usb headphone/mic combo was recognized by the guest and both sound and mic worked initially. I am using windows 7 host and Win XP SP3 as the guest. Alright, this issue has driven me nuts, but I found a solution, at least for me.
